How Mobile Marketing Benefits Buyers and Sellers in 2013
March 02, 2013
Did you know that more people now own smartphones than toothbrushes? At least that is what the latest marketing reports from Google claim.
Here’s a rundown of how smartphone technology and mobile marketing is making home buying easier and allowing builders and buyers to become even more connected.
- Apps such as Docusign save time and cut back on paperwork for both buyers and real estate agents. The advent of ‘e-signatures’ now means buyers and sellers can sign, send and save documents from any location.
- Houzz, Pinterest and Zillow Digs are allowing buyers to virtually customize their dream home. Many builders have accounts on these websites, and homeowners frequently share their Pinterest or Houzz image boards with custom builders, so that their new home fantasies can be turned into a reality.
- Live chat is growing in popularity. In today’s fast-paced society, sometimes an e-mail reply isn’t quick enough. Live chats on builder sites allow buyers and sellers to interact instantaneously.
- Built-in web tools, such as GPS, are bringing more sellers into the office. When buying a home, nothing beats face-to-face interaction between buyers and sellers, which is why some builder websites are replacing their online information form with GPS directions to their sales office.
