Enroll in the Naperville Citizens Academy
When you first move to a new neighborhood, it’s easy to get so caught up in work and your daily activities that you forget to make getting involved in the community a priority.
If you’re a resident of Naperville, however, you now have an opportunity to learn more about this neighborhood by enrolling in the eighth annual Naperville Citizens’ Academy. The 11-week program, sponsored by the City of Naperville, will teach residents more about the city’s governmental processes and municipal services through classroom education and hands-on experiences. Participants will get to interact with a variety of department directors and officials from the Naperville Park District, the Naper Settlement, the Naperville Public Library and more.
Classes will meet on a weekly basis from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. beginning on Thursday, April 18 through Thursday, June 27.
As always, space in the program is limited and available on a first come first serve basis, so be sure to register today. Upon completion of the course, participants will be honored in a graduation ceremony officiated by Mayor A. George Pradel.
To register for the Naperville Citizens Academy, contact Janice Bradley, Naperville Community Relations Assistant at (630) 420-6707 or bradleyj@naperville.il.us.
