SSHBA SMC Serves Up Pancakes with a Side of Smart Homes

May 19, 2013

SSHBAThis upcoming Thursday, May 23, the SSHBA’s Sales and Marketing Council will be hosting May’s Networking Breakfast. Starting at 8:30 a.m. in the SSHBA Office, the topic of discussion will be Smart Homes- the latest and greatest innovation of the home building industry.

Along with your meal and mingling, Kyle Hiskey of Crestron Lighting Controls will be speaking in light of these homes of the future. Hiskey, of Kansas State and Baker Universities, has gained a mass of insight throughout his working years. Currently the Regional Sales Manager at Commercial Lighting and formerly an Electrical Engineer at Cannon Design, Hiskey has a broad scope of experience, and he will be sure to deliver much food for thought on these sustainable “smart” homes. Green roofs, tank-less water heaters and recycled wood make up a recipe for efficiency and bear the costs to prove it.

Anyone is welcome to attend and learn more; this event is open to members of the SMC free of charge, and to non-SMC members for a small price of $10. Reservations must be made by Monday, May 20, so make yours now. This is not an event you want to miss out on!
