Chicago Named as Top Destination to Live and Learn for Students

real estate in Chicago great deal for StudentsThe United States is still a top destination for education according to students worldwide, and Chi-town is among the top places in the country to move to for those seeking an education. A new study from Universum published by CNN Money shows that in a survey of more than 4,000 students worldwide, the United States came in as the top place to live and learn at 19 percent.

The English-speaking countries placed higher on the list, with the U.S. taking the lead because of the great opportunities for growth, and our being home of the biggest enterprises and the biggest economy overall. The United Kingdom came in second, followed by Australia and Canada. The highest non-English speaking country on the list was Germany at 6 percent of the vote. New York and San Francisco topped the list of worldwide city choices with Chicago, Boston, Washington, Seattle, San Diego, Atlanta and Denver also in the top 10.

With so many colleges, universities, graduate schools and specialized schools easily available within the Loop, it’s easy to see why we made the list. Add to that lots of options when it comes to cost effective living options with real estate in Chicago for students and grads, and its easy to see why Chicago deserves our ranking!
