After your meal, be sure to explore everything else the park has to offer including canoeing Nippersink Creek, hiking or horseback riding on more than eight miles of trails, exploring the two-mile interpretative nature trail, attending an event in the amphitheater or spending the night at a campsite.

Rock Cut State Park in Loves Park, Ill. is the perfect day getaway for our homeowners of real estate in Poplar Grove at The Trails of Dawson Creek. In addition to a picnic shelter and several perfect picnic spots throughout the park, this history-rich park offers plenty of activities including 40 miles of hiking trails, 23 miles of mountain biking trails, 14 miles of equestrian trails, fishing and boating on Pierce Lake, fishing on Olson Lake, Olson Lake beach and campsites.

Not far from our McHenry homes at Liberty Trails are several local parks, including Creekside Park and Whispering Oaks Park. Creekside Park offers a picnic area and picnic shelter, as well as a playground and open area, while Whispering Oaks Park is complete with baseball and softball fields, a bike path, fishing spots, nature area, open play area and playground in addition to picnic shelters and picnic areas.

Lastly, residents of Bailey Estates and Williams Bay real estate are just 30 minutes south of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, which is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Recreation activities at this state park include miles of hiking trails set to a scenic backdrop; 30 miles of bicycling trails; several lakes for boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing; 87 miles of equestrian trails; two swimming beaches; the Miller Sports Center and of course, picnic shelters.
