University of Chicago Business School is No. 1

October 11, 2013

 - University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business remains the top-ranked full-time business school in the world, according to the Economist magazine.

The Hyde Park-based school has been in the magazine’s top spot for three of the last four years. Dartmouth College remained at No. 2 while the University of California at Berkeley vaulted to No. 3 from No. 6.

Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management fell three spots to No. 23.

The ranking, released online today and included in the Oct. 12 print edition, is based on student responses to questions about career opportunities, personal development, salary gains and networking opportunities. It is the 11th year the Economist has ranked full-time MBA programs.

Several publications have weighed in on the relative merits of various business schools. Forbes magazine released yesterday its list of top full-time business schools. U.S. News & World Report magazine issued its graduate school rankings in March.
