Get Your Twang On At The Chicago Bluegrass And Blues Festival

The Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival celebrates its fifth birthday January 1 through February 1, 2014, by ushering in its most impressive lineup to date. It continues to be a warmly welcomed chance to hear rural sounds in an urban setting.

The festival changes formats once again, spanning three weeks and four venues – Concord Music HallCity WineryTonic Room and SPACE (in Evanston, Ill.). There are plenty of local and national acts to check out and the balance between bluegrass and blues is solid. This may not be the same type of blues music that conjures images of Buddy Guy and B.B. King in your mind, but it’s blues music (with a touch of country love) nonetheless.
