Wright Stuff: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robert Parker House Now Just $775K

May 04, 2014

FLWThis Oak Park home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright can be had for $775,000. Known as the Robert P. Parker House, this home was built in 1892 and is representative of Wright’s earlier work. Last sold in 1996, the Parker House returned to the market last month with an $825,000 ask. The Parker House is famous for being one of Wright’s infamous “bootleg” homes, which were houses independently commissioned by Wright while he was still employed by Adler and Sullivan. Wright was ultimately dismissed from his position at the influential architecture firm for taking on outside work. The home itself sports four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a matching garage. Unlike other Wright homes that have received numerous alterations and changes over the years, this 2,661 square foot home has been beautifully restored and utterly oozes Wright’s Prairie charm.
