Super Contemporary Home ‘RoscO2′ Coming to Roscoe Village

June 02, 2014

Perhaps there isn’t a wave of super exciting design coming to new downtown highrises, however, one designer is bringing some ultra contemporary homes to the Chicago neighborhoods. Last summer, design/build firm Nicholas Design Collaborative let Curbed in on details of a plan to completely overhaul a drab 70s home in Edgewater Glen, and now the shop has done it again, this time in the form of a modern new construction in quiet Roscoe Village. Dubbed RoscO2, the 4,500 square foot home will certainly look nothing like its neighbors and bring some contrast to the residential 3400 block of Seeley Avenue. “The question is why not? Why wouldn’t you do it? Chicago is a city with eclectic neighborhoods. You know, modern is a style too,” Founder & Principal Peter M. Nicholas tells Curbed. The home’s floor plans show integrated indoor and outdoor spaces, six bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. Just shy of two million big ones, the price tag for the super contempo home is $1.9 million.
