Restaurateur Grant DePorter Lists Opulent Waterfront Mansion

June 14, 2014

Grant DePorter, President and Managing Partner of the Harry Caray’s Restaurant Group, has listed his opulent jumbo-sized waterfront Winnetka mansion for $3.195 million. DePorter gained national attention when he paid $113,824.16 for the ill-famed Bartman ball in 2004, following the Cubs unsuccessful run in the 2003 National League Championship Series. The ball was later blown up on live television. The six bedroom, six bathroom home sits on a half-acre lot along the waterfront in the upscale North Shore suburb. Though other surburbs may be known for its cheesy McMansions, this Winnetka home is just a straight-up mansion. The home has pretty much every amenity imaginable, however its greatest feature may be its incredible lake views and open layout featuring large windows and skylights that allow heaps of natural sunlight to pour in.
