Wrigley Field and its surrounding grounds won’t be the only source of major construction activity happening in the Wrigleyville area in the coming months. Developers M&R Development and RMK Management are moving forward with a plan to build a large residential and retail development at Clark and Addison. Alderman Tom Tunney’s office has indicated that the developers will likely break ground on the project early next year, DNAinfo reports. Dubbed Addison Park on Clark, the eight story SCB-designed development will include 148 apartments, 170,000 square feet of retail space and parking for 493 vehicles. A previous version of the plan called for a hotel, but the developers were pressured to make numerous changes to the plan based on community feedback. The development could be under construction for quite a while however, and may not be completed until early-mid 2017.
