NAHB Webinar Wednesday Series Continues with an Introduction to BIM

NAHB LOGOThe National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is continuing their Webinar Wednesday series tomorrow with an introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM). As information technology continues to make an impact on how professionals in the homebuilding industry manage their business operations, building planning, design and construction, it’s important to know how to take advantage of these innovations to streamline activity, increase efficiency and keep costs down.

This webinar will be an introduction to BIM, highlighting why builders, remodelers, vendors and contractors need to pay attention to this ever-growing and influential trend. The webinar will cover:

  • What BIM is and is not
  • The benefits of BIM to business processes and the bottom line
  • How to integrate BIM into your current practice

Speakers in the webinar will include Steve Jones, the Senior Director of Business Development with McGraw-Hill Construction and Deke Smith, the Executive Director of BuildingSMART Alliance and one of the founders of the National Institute of Building Sciences.

The webinar, ABCs of BIM: Building Information Modeling and Residential Construction, will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, July 17 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. CST. The webinar is $19.95 for council members, $24.95 for NAHB members and the non-member fee is $44.95.
