HBAGC Members Enjoy Iron Chef Competition

iron chef competitionMembers of the Chicago real estate industry spent Tuesday night chopping, seasoning, sautéing, baking and grilling a concoction of delicious dishes for the fifth annual Iron Chef Competition hosted by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago (HBAGC). While only one team would go on to win, everyone in attendance received a great prize when they got to enjoy samples of each yummy dish that was created.

This year’s Iron Chef Competition was held at the Fisher and Paykel showroom in Elk Grove Village, and participants got to try out their top-of-the-line appliances as they cooked their dishes.

Three teams participated in the event to create mouthwatering entrees, from shrimp kabobs and steak to salmon, vegetables and pasta. Although the teams were competing to win, nearly all 27 attendees got in on the action and the night turned into a great teambuilding exercise.

The event, which also served as a new member orientation, gave the six new members in attendance a wonderful opportunity to meet other HBA members and get acquainted with the organization.

The next opportunity new members will have to network and meet other HBAGC members will be at the annual Key Awards. Held on Nov. 15 at the European Crystal Banquet and Conference Center in Arlington Heights, these awards recognize excellence in the Chicago real estate industry.
