International Builders Show in Las Vegas to Host Presidential Candidate Forum

During the International Builders Show (IBS) in January in Las Vegas, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the National Journal, Building Opportunity: Solutions for the American Dream, is excited to announce that they have invited the presidential candidates to come speak at an open forum. This will give both Republican and Democratic candidates the opportunity to share their points of view on several key issues; foreign and domestic policy, economic issues and the current state of the home building industry.

The event will take place on Jan. 20 from 5-7 p.m.  at the Westgate Resort & Casino which is conveniently located next to the Las Vegas Convention Center and IBS exhibit floor.

This event will differ slightly from a normal candidate forum. Each candidate will take the stage separately and participate in a discussion with the moderators. The audience will also get the chance to ask questions of each candidate. The co-moderators will be Jon Ralston, host of “Ralston Live” which airs on Nevada public television stations, and Ron Brownstein, editorial director for strategic partnerships at Atlantic Media, parent company of National Journal.

Because IBS attracts more than 100,000 builders, remodelers, trade contractors and exhibitors for this annual event, tickets will be in high demand. There is a drawing starting on Tuesday, Oct 20 thru Nov 30. All you need to do if you are interested in attending this event is enter the drawing for a chance to get seats. If you are a registrant of IBS, keep an eye out for an email that was sent on Tuesday, Oct 20 with the instructions on how you can enter into the seat drawing.

It is essential that the presidential candidates understand the key role that remodeling businesses and home builders have on the nation’s economy. This is the perfect opportunity for members of this industry to make sure their voices are heard on the key issues. To enter the drawing click here.
